About The Calendar of the Church of Carthage
The Calendar of the Church of Carthage is a spare liturgical list, arranged by the days of the Roman month, of the martyrs' birthdays and bishops' depositions that Carthage kept as annual anniversaries. It combines universal feasts - the Nativity, Saint Stephen, the Holy Innocents, the Epiphany - with local African martyrs and unnamed groups from Carthaginian communities such as Thimida, Maxula, Tuburbo, and Volita, alongside the city's own bishop-martyr Cyprian. It also records the depositions of a long succession of Carthaginian bishops, from early figures like Gratus and Geneclus through Augustine's contemporary Restitutus to the later bishops Deogratias, Eugenius, and Quodvultdeus. Several entries survive only as fragments, broken by gaps in the manuscript.
By Anonymous. Collected in Patrologia Latina, Volume 13.
